Lumana's AI Video Security Platform Interfaces with the LenelS2 OnGuard Access Control Security System

Los Gatos, CA, [March 23, 2026] — Lumana today announced that it has received LenelS2 factory certification and joined the LenelS2 OpenAccess Alliance Program (OAAP). Lumana's AI video security platform interfaces with the LenelS2 OnGuard access control system to automatically evaluate, validate, and clear access control events in real time — reducing alarm fatigue, accelerating operator response to genuine threats, and delivering visual intelligence directly within existing security workflows.

“Lumana has completed required factory testing at LenelS2 to validate the functionality of its interface to the OnGuard system. Lumana’s AI-powered alert clearing gives OnGuard operators a powerful new capability”, said John Marchioli, OAAP product management, LenelS2. “We look forward to their continued involvement in the LenelS2 OpenAccess Alliance Program.”

“Physical access control systems generate enormous volumes of events, and security operations teams simply cannot keep up with manual review at scale. Our interface with OnGuard changes that. By applying Lumana’s AI directly to access control events — evaluating whether a forced or held door represents a real threat, detecting tailgating, and automatically acknowledging events where no risk is present — we give security teams back something invaluable: the ability to focus their attention where it truly matters,” said Enosh Levi, VP of Product, Lumana. “This certification reflects our commitment to building deeply interoperable solutions that enhance the platforms our customers already rely on.”

Lumana’s interface with the OnGuard system enables security operations teams to automatically process Door Forced Open and Door Held Open events using AI-based video analysis. When an event is received from OnGuard, Lumana’s on-premises Core device queries its AI Engine to determine whether a person is present, and applies a purpose-built clearance policy to each event type. Events assessed as non-threatening are automatically acknowledged in OnGuard with a plain-language explanation. Genuine incidents are immediately escalated with visual context attached. The interface also enables Lumana to push AI-generated tailgating events back into the OnGuard system — surfacing unauthorized entry detections that access control panels alone cannot identify.
