Analytics & Alerts

• Entrance occupancy alerts and widgets — Configure thresholds for entrance occupancy real-time alerts, and create a dashboard widget with a manual count reset. This supports healthcare, banking, and other environments where accurate headcount matters.
• Class-based occupancy filters — Occupancy widgets can be configured to count specific person and vehicle classes, including adults, children, cars, trucks, buses, forklifts, and bicycles. Existing organizations retain the current broad People/Vehicles behavior unless the granular tracker setting is enabled.
• Missing Object alert threshold — Adds a configurable delay before a Missing Object alert is triggered, reducing immediate alerts for short or expected absences.
• Abandoned bags detection — Detect unattended bags in monitored zones
• Scooter detection — Detect scooters in monitored zones
• Tampering & Fire model improvements — Releases an improved model addressing issues reported by Support.
• Person groups in reports — Attendance reports can exclude person groups instead of requiring operators to select individuals one by one.
• Alert status filter in dashboards — Dashboard graphs can now filter alerts by status - all, acknowledged, and unacknowledged alerts.
• Improved LPR capabilities - Expanded regional support to AU and EU plates, removed tracking dependency between LP & actual car object and improved overall identification accuracy.
• Windows / MacOS alert notifications - alert notifications can now be delivered as a standard Windows / MacOS notification so the operator will not miss them as they come in. Notifications can be disabled from the browser notification settings
• Zone-based alerts — Alerts can now target saved zones as well as cameras, making configuration more scalable for sites organized by zones such as corridors, playgrounds, restricted areas etc. Note that cameras or zones need to be selected. A combination of cameras and zones is not supported.

Mobile & Emergency Response

• Panic Button mobile app — Approved users can register once against an organization whitelist, trigger an emergency event, report incidents, and share a location snapshot. (Still under review for Apple Store)
• Panic Button admin portal — Org admins can manage approved community records, define event types, and deactivate organizations with immediate access revocation.
• Mobile camera grid — Improves mobile camera-grid viewing.

Alert Monitoring & Control Center

• Activity-log export — Operators can export alert summaries to pdf. The summary includes selected activity entries with an optional AI generated executive summary and overall alert context such as organization, location, sub-location, user, and export time.

  Standardizes the left navigation tree across Alert Monitoring & Walls views for filtering. building walls, reordering locations/cameras, etc.

Device Onboarding & Camera Management

• Camera edit page improvements — Restructures camera configuration into clearer tabs for Details, Streams, Live, Camera API, Storage, PTZ, Zones, Shortcuts, Analytics, and Monitoring. It also improves codec, bitrate, stream, storage, preview, and validation workflows.
• Camera import from CSV — Partners can bulk-add cameras using standard CSV columns, reducing manual onboarding work.
• Default camera brand and stream paths — Uses camera APIs and manufacturer defaults to populate main and sub-stream paths during setup.
• Core as NTP server — Allows administrators to configure Core-based time synchronization during installation, camera editing, and bulk camera editing.

PTZ

• PTZ presets and patrols — Administrators can create named presets, designate a home preset, configure sequential or random patrols, manage dwell times and speeds, and enable Sentry Mode. Operators can pause, resume, switch, and monitor active patrols.
• PTZ zone selection — PTZ presets can be selected while defining zones, using a current snapshot from the camera.
• PTZ joystick support — Adds support for the Axis T8311 joystick workflow for PTZ operations.

Reports & API

• Container report sorting — Daily reports sort by first seen and last seen; weekly and monthly reports sort by date, first seen, and last seen.
• API report uploads — Customers can push CSV or PDF reports through the Lumana API and make them available in the VMS report list.

Permissions & Compliance

• LPR Isolation (compliance) — Administrators can enable or disable LPR capabilities per location, supporting regulatory requirements such as California privacy controls.
• Sub-location permissions — Adds sub-locations to the inheritance hierarchy so permissions can be managed by customer, site, or operational area without repeated per-Core changes.
• Playback codec support — Supports AV1 and H.264 playback improvements for enterprise deployments.
• Playback and archive transcoding — Adds transcoding work supporting enterprise playback and archive workflows.

User Experience

• Improved Floor Plans — Floor plans now keep their original aspect ratio, easier zooming, panning, camera resizing, and uploading floor plans with the cameras inside.
• Camera and Core downtime fixes — Improves downtime reporting, email recipients, and mute-toggle behavior.

Security & Access

• Grant Secure Support Access: Customers can grant Lumana support time-limited, scoped access to their org through a secure token flow.
• OKTA Users Linkage: Links existing email/password users with Okta SSO accounts for smoother identity migration.
• User Session Duration Config: Admins can configure how long user sessions remain active before re-authentication.

Video & Streaming

• Local Streaming Data Channel: P2P local WebRTC streaming for users on the same network as the Core. This capability existed previously, but the prior implementation performed DNS signaling on the local network, which created policy violations in some enterprise networks.
• NVR Live View and Playback Without Internet: Enables live view and playback from NVR-connected cameras when internet connectivity is down.

Core SKU 

• Core SKU: Core SKU with 8GB RAM and 1TB storage that supports up to 4 cameras.

Visual Intelligence & Analytics

• Gun Detection: Improved model for real-time firearm detection designed to trigger urgent alerts while minimizing false alarms.
• Collision Avoidance: Detects when vehicles get too close to each other or nearby equipment in real time.
• People/Vehicle Groups: Lets users group people or vehicles to create org-level groups for alerting and tracking. 
• Container OCR / Container ID: Container OCR is now enabled by default, so container ID recognition runs automatically without requiring manual model enablement.

Integrations & APIs

• Genetec Integration: Integrates with Genetec Security Center for camera discovery, RTSP stream display, alert push, and access-control alert clearing.
• Schneider AC Integration: Integrates with Schneider Electric access control for alarm-clearing workflows.
• Add Face API: External API for creating, retrieving, updating, and deleting people and groups.
• PTZ API Support: Unified API for PTZ camera movement, presets, position feedback, permissions, and audit logging.

UX Improvements 

• UX improvements: Camera edit redesign, archive click-to-open, wall set auto-save, and dark theme for mobile.

VMS+

• New alert monitoring in VMS+ — A new monitoring experience now lives inside VMS+. Jump straight to live view when an alert comes in, review playback from the same screen, see alerts on a map, and clear them once you've reviewed. One place to see what's happening and act on it.
• Admin user control — Admins can now force a logout or reset a password for any user in the organization. Useful during a security event or when someone's access needs to change right away.
• Login authenticators — MFA now supports SMS, email, Google Authenticator, and passkeys, so each user can verify with the method that fits them best, and rolling out MFA across the organization is easier to enforce and adopt.

AI

• Lenel alert clearance — Lumana now connects to Lenel and uses agentic AI to review the video associated with each access-control alert, automatically acknowledging or clearing alerts based on the footage. Fewer alerts to chase by hand, and less noise from events that the video can rule out.

Optimization

• Device issue monitoring — Monitor device issues across your system, acknowledge them, and troubleshoot from one place. Includes storage recording monitoring, which flags cases where footage isn't being retained for the period you've configured, so you can close a retention gap before you go looking for footage and find it missing.
• Hardware monitoring — Set alerts on CPU, temperature, storage, and device health to catch hardware issues early, before they affect recording or performance.
