AI video security should expand beyond just physical security and solve unique use cases by leveraging the power of computer vision intelligence. This month, we prioritized quality over quantity. We made thoughtful updates to the platform and released a new alert type using Event Tags, allowing Lumana to trigger alerts based on third-party system data.

  • Map view — Users can now position and access external camera feeds from a Google map view for added viewing flexibility.

  • Add people of interest to the organization database — System administrators can now find people of interest and easily add their faces to the organization database for search and alert capabilities.
  • Daily or weekly dashboard comparisons — Users can now monitor trends and see daily or weekly comparisons of their data and event activity.
  • Wall filtering — Users can filter walls by location or camera for faster wall retrieval.

Artificial Intelligence

  • Motion search — Lumana currently features best-in-class detection and video search capabilities (100+ objects and counting). Today, AI search functionality expands even further to include motion.
  • Multiple face search — Customers can better refine their video investigations by searching for any face from a list or a group of faces within the same frame.

VMS+

  • Custom alert notification messages — Customers can now build their own alert messages using out-of-the-box query parameters or HTTPs/RESTful API content. This feature enables administrators to add contextual information to streamline incident response.

  • Local mode — If users are streaming cameras via a Local Area Network (LAN), Lumana will consume zero upload bandwidth and bypass the cloud, allowing users to view camera feeds in native resolution and FPS.

  • AI Dashboards — Customers can now capture real-time data from video and create custom dashboards to visualize security and operational trends.
  • Enhanced search filtering — Customers can now search video with greater granularity by filtering video based on specific timeframes, such as specific days between certain hours.
  • PTZ camera control — Lumana’s end-to-end solution now works with any ONVIF-compliant PTZ camera. Customers can now enable Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) controls in VMS+ for greater visibility and coverage.
  • API actions — Customers now use RESTful APIs to trigger automated commands with external systems as part of the alert creation process. New commands include GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, PATCH, and OPTIONS.

  • Enhanced tailgating alerts — Building on top of Lumana’s tailgating alerts, customers can now exclude specific license plates to minimize alerts for trusted vehicles.
  • LPR alert refinement — Customers can now set more granular LPR alert rules by specifying which direction a vehicle should go to trigger a license plate capture.

VMS+

  • Enterprise role-based access control — System administrators can now create custom roles and permissions for viewing, editing, searching, sharing, and more.
  • Results counter — Customers can now see the number of search or alert results at the top of the search and alert page.
