Role overview
We’re seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Caesarea, Israel. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in hands-on environments and have a strong troubleshooting mindset. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, resolving, and preventing system issues across our full hardware and software stack—including networking, edge devices, and cloud-connected components. A deep sense of ownership and urgency is essential, as your work ensures mission-critical systems remain fully operational in the field.
This is not a customer-facing role; your primary focus will be technical support, field diagnostics, and working closely with engineering and field installation teams to ensure the reliability and performance of our deployed systems.
Key responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues involving networking, hardware, software, and system integration.
- Support field teams and installations by identifying root causes and implementing effective fixes.
- Monitor system performance, proactively detect anomalies, and prevent potential failures.
- Maintain detailed logs of investigations, solutions, and ongoing technical documentation.
- Assist with testing and validating new hardware and software releases in real-world scenarios.
- Work closely with Engineering, QA, and Product teams to report bugs, validate solutions, and improve system robustness.
- Develop tools and scripts to automate support and diagnostic processes.
- Contribute to internal support materials, documentation, and knowledge bases.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 year of experience in a technical support, IT operations, or system engineering role.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and components: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT, TLS, PoE, Ethernet, firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems under pressure with a sense of urgency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to clearly document technical findings and contribute to support knowledge bases.
Nice to have
- Experience with camera systems or IP-based surveillance technology.
- Experience working with Linux-based systems.
- Familiarity with Python scripting or other automation tools.
- Hands-on experience with edge devices or IoT hardware.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+, Security+) are a plus.
