Role overview
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will be Lumana’s first Product Marketer. You’ll lead the charge in defining how we position, launch, and communicate our platform and products to the market, helping prospects and customers clearly understand the value of Lumana’s AI video security solution.
This is a highly cross-functional role that bridges product, marketing, sales, and customer success. You’ll translate complex product capabilities into compelling narratives that resonate with decision-makers in various industries, including education, government, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, and retail.
You’ll be the voice of the customer within Lumana—crafting messaging, refining our positioning, developing content, enabling the sales team, and launching new features and products with precision and impact. We’re looking for someone who is both strategic and hands-on, and excited to build a new category within our market through effective storytelling and go-to-market execution.
What you'll do
- Own Positioning & Messaging: Develop clear, differentiated product positioning and messaging frameworks that highlight the unique value of Lumana’s solutions across customer segments and industries.
- Lead Product Launches: Partner with product and engineering to plan and execute product and feature launches that drive awareness, engagement, and adoption.
- Enable Sales Team & Channel Partners: Create compelling enablement materials—battlecards, one-pagers, presentations, competitive insights—that help sellers close deals faster at a higher conversion rate.
- Craft Content Strategy: Develop marketing assets (web content, case studies, videos, blog posts, etc.) that support the buyer journey, showcase the platform’s impact, and establish Lumana as a thought leader.
- Conduct Market Research: Gather insights on competitors, market trends, and customer needs to inform messaging and strategic decisions.
- Drive GTM Alignment: Collaborate with sales, product, and marketing to ensure unified go-to-market execution across campaigns and initiatives.
- Be the Voice of the Customer: Leverage customer feedback, usage data, and field input to improve messaging and product-market alignment.
What you'll need
- 3+ years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, ideally with enterprise technology or security/AI products.
- Excellent storytelling and writing skills, with a knack for turning technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
- Demonstrated success in leading product or feature launches and supporting go-to-market initiatives.
- Experience building positioning and messaging frameworks that influence product development and sales strategy.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage multiple projects/deadlines with attention to detail and speed.
- A mindset of extreme ownership and high accountability—you move fast, communicate clearly, and take full responsibility for outcomes.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, including experience presenting to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with a passion for using customer and market insights to inform decisions.
Bonus points
- Experience in AI, computer vision, or video security technology
- Background in sales enablement or customer marketing
- Familiarity with ABM (Account-Based Marketing) strategies
- Previous startup experience as an early marketing hire
