Role overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Network Technician to join our team, specializing in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of networked systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking (switches, routers), with hands-on troubleshooting experience and familiarity with camera systems as a strong asset.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct site assessments and prepare for installation.
- Set up and install all required equipment, including network hardware and peripheral systems.
- Configure the Lumana system along with configuring customers cameras, networking devices such as routers, switches, wireless access points, and related infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and test Lumana’s system operation both on-site and remotely to ensure full system functionality and performance.
- Identify and resolve cabling, hardware, and network issues directly in the field.
- Travel to customer locations across designated regions to complete installations and support calls.
- Provide detailed work logs, documentation, and reports following each visit.
Qualifications & requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a role such as Network Administrator, Network Technician, Information Security Engineer, or a similar position.
- In-depth knowledge of networking, including strong understanding of protocols, network equipment, and information security.
- Proven experience in installing and supporting network infrastructure (switches, routers, wireless systems).
- Strong diagnostic skills for field troubleshooting of networking and system issues.
- Experience with camera installations and basic video surveillance systems is a strong advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid Class driver’s license.
- Experience providing on-site or remote support in customer-facing environments.
